Vanderbilt Names Anders Hall As New CIO

Vanderbilt University has named Anders Hall their new CIO, handing him the keys to their $4B endowment. Hall (who will be replacing Matt Wright) comes to Vandy from Duke, having served as Director of Public Securities at DUMAC. Hall comes with an impressive resume, earning his bachelor’s in public policy studies and economics from Duke University prior to moving to Stern School of Business at New York University for his MBA in finance and economics. He has worked at Duke for the past decade, with prior employment at Hewitt Investment Group in Atlanta and Rowayton, Conn., & Prudential Financial in Newark, N.J. Hall will officially start his duties September 3rd in Nashville.

Vanderbilt allocates their $4B endowment to both traditional and alternative investments, including, hedge funds, equities, real assets, and private equity strategies.
